Since 2021, Clean CA has been creating a cleaner, healthier, more beautiful California. It has surged cleanup crews on our state highways, invested in major safety and beautification projects, partnered on local bulk trash days, and provided hundreds of millions of dollars in municipal project grants. Just as important to Clean CA is partnering with community-based organizations (CBOs) leading local change and volunteer action.

The goal of the Clean California campaign is to address the state’s litter problem through public education and strategic partnerships. The campaign focuses on raising awareness about proper waste disposal with the ultimate goal of achieving a zero-litter future.

Since 2021, Caltrans’ Clean CA campaign has been working with local municipalities and leaders throughout the state who are just as committed to creating a cleaner, more beautiful state. Clean CA Partnerships provides corporate and community-based organizations (CBOs) with similar assistance raise awareness about proper waste disposal with the ultimate goal of achieving a zero-litter future.

We’re looking for partners across various sectors who are eager to support Clean California’s mission. This includes statewide, travel, and corporate entities with extensive resources and networks to drive impactful, large-scale initiatives, as well as established environmental changemakers such as 501(c) organizations and long-standing community groups in California. We also welcome grassroots organizations led by community members passionate about making a difference in their local areas.

The benefits of partnering with Clean California include access to valuable resources such as digital toolkits, support in recruiting volunteers, promotional opportunities to increase visibility, and assistance in organizing events. These resources help partners effectively contribute to the initiative while enhancing their community engagement efforts.
