If there are no Clean California branded cleanup events in your area, please contact your local organizations to explore volunteer opportunities.

We are truly grateful to California residents and community-based organizations for the overwhelming response to the Clean California litter kit program. Thanks to your enthusiasm and dedication, all available cleanup kits have been fully redeemed by the community.

Caltrans has launched a new statewide designation to reward communities for their hard work in staying clean and beautiful.

If your community takes the pledge, they will receive:
i. Personalized “You Are Entering a Clean California Community” signage with the Clean California Community logo and the designation seal.
ii. Recognition on state websites and social media posts, and state-partnered media outreach.
iii. Right to officially promote your community as a Clean California Community committed to the Zero Litter goal.
iv. Priority access to national grant opportunities, educational materials, and volunteer cleanup kits (while supplies last) from Keep America Beautiful, a Clean California partner.
v. Automatic membership with state organization, Keep California Beautiful.
