The Clean California Community Days, a vibrant celebration and volunteer service event supported by the Governor’s Office, Caltrans, and our partners throughout California, have come to a close. Thank you to all who joined us in making a positive impact and inspiring others to beautify and uplift our communities statewide.

Join us for Clean California Community Days — Spring Into Action, a volunteer service event and celebration sponsored by the Governor’s Office, Caltrans, and our partners across California. Help inspire others through the statewide event to transform communities.

How Can I Participate?

Community Days Events

Take pride in your community with a local volunteer cleanup event. Check the event calendar below for details.

Dump Days

Dispose of waste for free at local Dump Days. Recycling options for tires, mattresses, e-waste, and appliances may be available.

Hosting An Event

Consider hosting an event with our assistance. Register your events with us for inclusion in our event calendar.

Reporting Efforts

Share your cleanup efforts with us. Submit the number of bags collected and any photos.

Community Days Reporting Efforts

Join us in making a difference! Embrace the role of a citizen scientist by reporting on your community cleanup efforts. Scan the QR code or access the survey form to get started. Your observations matter! Together, let’s create a cleaner and healthier California. Zero litter is the goal.

Litter Cleanup Kit

To receive your cleanup kits in time for Community Days 2024, please submit your request via email with the details below to hello@cleanca.com by March 15, 2024.

To help you get started, Clean California is offering free litter cleanup kits.


Each kit includes: a reusable litter collection bag, with three biodegradable liners, gloves, safety vest, litter grabber, scale to weigh litter, and a metal canister to collect and recycle cigarette litter.

*While supplies last. Limited to California residents only. Kits may take 6-8 weeks for delivery. By submitting this form, you agree to allow the state of California and its Clean California partners to communicate with you about community beautification.
